Privacy Policy — Hours & Decimals iOS App

1. Introduction

“Hours & Decimals” is a specialized calculator for time conversions (decimal ↔ hours and minutes), working time and time range calculations, and a set of HR-oriented tools (yearly calendar, day counting between two dates, part-time calculations, etc.).

2. Publisher

The application is published by Raphaël Gauthier, an independent developer, through an individual Apple Developer account. Any correspondence may be sent to calculatrice-temps@proton.me.

3. Data and Privacy

No personal data is collected, transmitted, or shared with any external server. The application:

• does not create user accounts
• does not collect personal data
• does not use advertising tracking systems
• does not use behavioral analytics tools
• does not share any information with third parties

All calculations are performed locally on the device.

4. Local Storage on the Device

In order to function, the application stores certain information only in iOS local storage (UserDefaults), on your device. This data never leaves the device without an explicit action on your part:

• your calculation history (limited to the last 200 blocks)
• your preferences (theme, length of a working day, etc.)
• the display state of the home screen and what’s-new screen
• an internal counter used to trigger the App Store review prompt

Uninstalling the application removes all of this data.

5. History Export and Sharing

You can export your calculation history as a CSV file at any time via the iOS share sheet. The application does not transmit this file anywhere on its own: you choose the destination (email, Files, another app, etc.).

6. App Store Review Prompt

After a certain number of successful calculations, the application may display the standard review prompt provided by Apple (SKStoreReviewController). No information about you is transmitted in this process; the mechanism is entirely handled by iOS.

7. Email Contact

From the “Settings” screen, the application may open your device’s email application to let you contact the developer. When creating the email, certain technical information is pre-filled in the body of the message to help with support:

• application version
• iOS version
• device model
• configured language and region
• selected appearance theme
• date and time of the message

This information is only sent if you voluntarily choose to send the email. You can edit or remove it before sending.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated at any time. Changes will be published on this page.

10. Apple Services

The application is distributed through Apple’s App Store.

Certain technical data may be processed by Apple in accordance with its own privacy policies when using the App Store or iOS services.

11. Hosting of Support and Privacy Pages

The support and privacy policy pages are hosted by OVH SAS (France). As a result, when these pages are accessed, certain technical data may be retained by the host (IP address, user agent, date and time of the request, etc.) for security purposes and to comply with the legal obligations applicable to web hosts.
